Soapy Sophie

Sophie made a pie of mud
Rolled in fields of clover buds
Joined the playground sandbox club
Now soapy Sophie’s in the tub.

Sophie is a submarine
A mermaid, swimming fast, upstream
Bubbly shampoo horns a-gleam
Now Soapy Sophie’s getting clean.

Sophie’s pillow’s wide and deep
And story time is long and sweet
Sophie counts reluctant sheep
Now Sleepy Sophie goes to sleep.
